Being published for being thankful

I have read, and am now rereading “One Thousand Gifts”, a book on thankfulness.

Changed my way of thinking about “giving thanks in all things”  (1 Thess. 5:17-18 “pray without ceasing, ⁾ give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”.)

I wrote to the website for the book and shared an experience that my husband and I had last month in Hawaii, and guess what?  They published my “gift”.  You can see it at:

I ordered a new book off Amazon, and today it finally arrived.  As with any new book I have been waiting for, I sat down and neglected everything else I was in the middle of, to  read the first chapter.  It is what I do to see if I can be hooked, so that the rest of my day I will be longing for that time in the evening, when the work of the day is done, and I can sit down and read.
Just want to let you know I am hooked.  Don’t really want to get back to the taxes that are spread out on my dining room table. Don’t really want to clean my house, or make dinner.  Don’t really want to run back into town, yet again, to finish the errands that need to be done.  Don’t really  want to go to the gym.  Don’t really want to write that letter to my brother that I have been dreading, and praying over, and grieving about for the past 30 hours.  Just want to sit down and get lost in “Discovering who you are (I am) , how God feels about you (me), and what it will take to reach your (my) destiny”
